The sea ranch lodge
The historic Sea Ranch Lodge ushered in a new era recently with an emphasis on modernity coexisting with the natural elements. Designer Nicole Hollis brought to life the new guest accommodations and Santa Cruz Woodworks created the desks, built in closets, mini bars, bench seats and staircases found on property in each of the 17 guest rooms. In the original construction of the lodge in the 1960’s, guests accessed the loft areas in rooms via ladder. A new design removed the ladder and brought in a unique staircase utilizing alternating treads allowing for a more spacious layout. Crafted from rift white oak, the desks, builtin closets, mini bar and staircase were all made custom for each space. The bench seats were crafted of cedar to match the wall paneling in each room keeping tones cohesive with the land, sea and sky.
